Confidentiality
Little Lace Proofreading & Design will treat your documents with absolute discretion, and will not distribute them, or reveal the content, to anyone else without the author’s full written consent and approval.
Copyright
Copyright remains with the customer/copyright owner and, by extension, responsibility for satisfying legal requirements such as plagiarism and libel also remains with the customer.
Service Quality and Refund Policy
Little Lace Proofreading & Design aims to do an excellent job. However, we do not guarantee that edited documents are “error-free” or “perfect”.
Little Lace Proofreading & Design is not liable for incidental, indirect, consequential, punitive, special, or exemplary damages, including loss of business, lost profits or revenues, or loss of data related to the service provided by Little Lace Proofreading & Design. This exemption applies to any claim, loss, or injury based on errors, omissions, interruptions, or any other inaccuracies that may appear in an edited customer document or on the Little Lace Proofreading & Design website.
Little Lace Proofreading & Design is not obliged to refund the cost of the service in the case of an edited document being less than perfect. However, if you are not completely satisfied with our service, please contact us and we will make every effort to remedy the situation.
Important: The customer is responsible for reviewing any edited document upon completion and contacting Little Lace Proofreading & Design should any errors be discovered.
Delivery
Documents will be returned by email (or another service such as Dropbox for large files).
Deadlines
We consider your job to be returned when our email to you is successfully sent (e.g. we did not receive a bounce-back message).
Technical Disclaimer
Little Lace Proofreading & Design is not responsible or liable for service delays resulting from circumstances that could not be predicted, such as technical problems, including internet connection or server issues beyond our control. We will make every effort to meet deadlines and communicate with customers in the case of technical problems.
Little Lace Proofreading & Design is not responsible or liable for any damage to computer hardware or software arising from the distribution of a computer virus through the use of the Little Lace Proofreading & Design service.
Indemnification
The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Little Lace Proofreading & Design and anyone associated with Little Lace Proofreading & Design, harmless from any demand or claim, including fees and costs for the service of a lawyer, or as may be made by any third party due to or arising from use of the site or service, or violation of the Terms and Conditions by the customer, or infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity by the customer.
Website Disclaimer
Little Lace Proofreading & Design does not guarantee its website content to be accurate or up to date. We try to make sure it is, however.
Financial Fraud or Theft
Little Lace Proofreading & Design is not liable for the fraudulent use of any credit card or other payment method that may be used to purchase its services.
Refusing Service
Little Lace Proofreading & Design reserves the right to refuse or deny service to any customer or prospective customer for any reason and without explanation.
Ending our Service
Little Lace Proofreading & Design reserves the right to cancel service to any customer when a virus is suspected in submitted documents. A refund of any credit payment will be issued less any associated cost incurred by Little Lace Proofreading & Design, including bank/transfer fees, editor costs, and virus removal costs.
Changing our Terms and Conditions
Little Lace Proofreading & Design can change our terms and conditions at any time, for any reason, and without notice.
