PROOFREADING
Proofreading is a line-by-line read-through to find and correct the following:
• spelling
• punctuation
• capitalisation
• extra words
• missing words
• inconsistencies
• basic character development issues
Proofreading is usually performed once a manuscript has gone through the editing process, and before publishing. It is also suitable for books that have already been published, but have been found to still have errors such as punctuation, spelling or grammar issues.
Your manuscript should be provided as a Word file, and changes or corrections will be made using track changes. It is then up to the author to either accept or decline these changes.
As much as we would both like it, please remember that no manuscript is going to be 100% free from errors. I am human and things will be missed, although I always take my time and I'm as thorough as possible in order to pick up as much as I can.
The author is strongly encouraged to review the final manuscript before publishing.

I have been working as a graphic designer for over 20 years, and have experience in a range of areas including cover design, manuscript formatting, social media advertising and other marketing materials.
